I have severe dehydrated skin and nothing seems to really help, I have tried many moisturizers. Hyaluronic acid made my skin more dehydrated so please don't respond with a tip to use this ingredient. I want to know what in the world I can do to get my skin hydrated! I'm at my wits end. My skin is so dry. I cannot exfoliate even one time because my skin is THAT dehydrated. When I am able to get a little bit of moisture to my skin which doesn't seem to last for too long, fine lines fade away and the skin looks more even skin toned and all these strange tiny bumps all over my face appear smaller. Please please recommend what I can use for this issue.
The other issue I have is pink and light brown scarring left over from bumps/rash on face. I've had them for 3 years. I have one light pink spot on my nose left over from a pimple that has lasted me over 5 years, so I am not sure how much I believe that Post Inflammatory Pigmentation isn't permanent, which is what I read on the internet all the time. I am at my wits end with the pink scarring as well and I am thinking of taking the plunge to try Hydroquinone even though I know it's bad for the health. I am looking at AMBI Fade Cream. I am even thinking if I don't see adverse reactions using 2% hydroquinone, that I may have a dermatologist prescribe me a higher strength one for faster results. Has anyone had success treating the pink scarring with hydroquinone (at what percentage?) or with something else?? Please recommend what I can use. I'm at my wits end with the pink scars on my face as well. |

Have you ever considered lactic acid peels? That might help with the hyperpigmentation. I also read that lactic acid is best for dry skin. SkinCareTalk.com's forum has a ton of information about chemical peels.
Also, if you're looking for a fade cream, have you considered Makari's night treatment cream. I used that for several years and thought that it was a solid product:

It will work better if you regularly exfoliate. |

VeronicaM,
Thank you for your response and recommendation. I have never heard of this product or this skin care line before. How do you know about it?
Also, with this cream, I would like to know how it performed for you? Did you have any pink scarring on the face and did this aid in fading that?
Thank you for your help! |
