Hello,
I've been using a couple of urea creams to treat my KP unsuccessfully and I think that the issue may be that it's not penetrating. I've read that urea dissolves thickened skin and keratin so I'm wondering why it's not working for me? I've been using Topix and a callous cream (40%, 18%). When I used Topix it was for a few days, but I only noticed that the cream was producing a heavy, build up like film on my skin that when rubbed looked like it was just the cream sitting on the surface. I've tried using it right out of the shower with moist skin and the absorption appears to take hold, but later in the day I notice the film again.
Also, the callous cream I picked up claims to show noticeable results in 3 days but my black dots are still there. Is it normal for urea cream to be useless - or worse, to leave a dirty film on skin? |
