I am, actually, just started, Obagi NuDerm this morning, and wondered if any one else is in the beginning stage. |

I've decided to try Zo Skin Health by Zein Obagi instead. |

Thanks, Havana for the links. I had missed the NuDerm Diary thread.
And, thanks for the welcome! |

Skincare, I was interested in Zo too, but there is an Obagi Medi Spa a mile from my house, so I decided to go with Obagi. I like all the support I can get, and I really like the aesthetician. |

It is a MedSpa that sells Obagi and a couple of other skin care lines. |

I've been using Nuderm for about 4 weeks now and am very pleased with it. I bought it at a spa but have since found it cheaper online and have already ordered my next set. |

Thanks for the reply. There was a very active thread about Obagi, but has been dormant for about 11 months.
I wonder if we will ever get over the red and flakey stage and get just nice skin? I like what is happening to my skin in the first week, but do not want to be red and flaky for the rest of my life. |

I understand. From what I know, Obagi NuDerm and the others Re see formations and behind on newer studies and technology. I love Obagi NuDerm SPF 50 (thanks to a EDS member help)
I want to try ZO Skin Health program with a processional observing so that I'm not damaging my skin.
I hope to book an appointment in a couple of weeks. |

fa7505 - I used the obagi line for over a year and was red and flaky for 6 months. My sister was too. Once we got over that stage our skin was awesome. I had to quit using it because of getting pregnant - not sure if it would've hurt but didn't want to take the chance. I have light sensitve skin so i've heard people who aren't sensitive or fair complexion can get over the red and flaky stage within about 4 or 5 months. HTH! |

I have ust returned from a visit to my Obagi trained esthetician, after using a full course of Obagi NuDerm for two weeks.
She suggested that the reason some have redness and peeling for a long period of time is because they don't go full force into the treatment. They use it on alternate days, etc. They may not be as red or flaky as I have been, therefore it will take longer.
I plan on continuing using the full treatment as I have been, and hopefully, and according to the esthetician, I should be over the worst by the end of the next seven days. Some flaking will occur, but not to the extent that it has been. I can handle that. |

fa7505 - would you let us know?! I would love to see if what your esthetician said is right. i was red and flaky for almost 6 months, maybe 5 but I wasn't consistently using it everyday. I would love to get back to using it again esp before i get married this summer. |

Rilee, I have now used NuDerm for 3 full weeks and 1 day. I use the entire program and have not missed a day.
Today, my face is looking very nice, with very little flaking or peeling. It is a bit pink, but I do feel that it looks much better than it did three week ago. Kind of a glow. |
