Hi,
I am reading this book and wonder if anyone else has and what they think/ is there anyone who knows re endorsements/? for listing brands in books?
The book has recommendations throughout it for specific products. He lists brands and their product for different situation eg blemish prone/ sensitive skin and also lists product levels - luxury/ moderate/ affordable.
What made me question the sincerity? of these recommendations is when he has said stuff like get a sunscreen with zinc or titanium dioxide, then in his recommendations he lists sunscreens with chemical active ingredients. Also he says avoid sls but some of his recommendations have sls very near the top..
Does anyone know if authors have an interest in listing brands eg biz/ financial interest?
I just wonder if it is a really genuine independent list of products he is recommending.
I know fashion/ women's magazines have absolutely no credibility in the products they list/ recommend.
I just bought everything to do the full routine he recommends from Aesop and I really hope it is worth it and I haven't been duped..
edit: I hope this hasn't been discussed elsewhere already, did my best to search for anything |
