But I thought the purpose of exfoliating was to encourage the cells to renew faster as a result of that actual process. I think that if your skin cells renewal slows down, it doesn't mean there is less skin to remove because the cells flick off eventually and become house dust anyhow without any exfoliation process, but when you start exfoliating it encourages the body to work faster - just my two pence worth.
