Hi,
Has anyone experienced pain or a stinging sensation after laser freckle/age spots removal? My dermatologist said there wouldn't be much pain and that I could resume normal activities right after the laser treatment, but when I try washing my face (gently) after the procedure, I experience a painful stinging sensation in the areas that were treated. Should I refrain from washing my face for a few days? I was also thinking I should probably abstain from intense exercise for the next several days as the sweat might exacerbate the pain. What are your thoughts?
FYI - the facial soap I use is a very gentle, tear-free, organic formula, so I don't think the cleanser is the issue.
Thanks in advance for your help! |

What kind of laser treatment did you get? Fraxel? How were your results? I would probably refrain from any kind of washing for a while or putting anything on it. You're probably right about exercising as well. Didn't the office give you instructions after your procedure? |

Hi Ollie,
Thanks for your response. It was Varilite laser. The doc only did one section of my face; we're supposed to wait a few weeks before tackling the other problem areas. I was just told that I'd have to wear sunblock every day and keep the area moist. |

I had laser treatment for wart on my face. I use QV cleansing milk after the treatment. It is painful for the big one only. For tiny one is ok. |

Laser treatment for freckles was really effective for me. I started to notice the appearance of brown spots on my face few months back. At first I didnt care at all.. But after weeks it began to increase gradually and my face was almost covered with freckles. I looked very dark and my white complexion completely disappeared. Later it began to appear on my hands and legs too. As the condition worsened, I decided to consult a dermatologist and then I happened to meet Dr.Jain at Fairview Laser clinic, Toronto. The treatment took about 1- 2 hrs and during the treatment I felt very little pain.I was happy that I could completely get rid of the freckles. First, I was asked to wash my face thoroughly. Then I was told to close my eyes and a cold gel was applied on my face. Later a cooling device was used to make my skin cool. Later treatment was done using laser pulses and sunblock was applied. |

Careful. Just closing your eyes isn't enough to protect the eyes. Specialized eye protection is required when receiving laser treatments. |

I didn't have a any pain or stinging because I never have any laser freckle/age spots removal. But I heard that only little pain will have. I didn't know about the stinging problem. |
