I started using the Skin Bio Folligen Cream for my ragged eyebrows last week. But I'm a little stumped about how much and how often.
I'm now using it every other night, because it is a bit irritating. I then follow with a few dabs of Apricot Oil - don't hae the Emu Oil.
So how much of this blue cream (Folligen)do I put on my brows? Just a little or really coat them up? Every night? |

Folligen is best used every other day, or every couple of days...not daily.
I personally FAR prefer using the Folligen for Blondes which is very effective and NOT blue. I have also had great results with it on both my eyebrows and the hair on my head! |

Bethany,
Re: the results on your hair (head) - did you get thicker hair or - new growth. That may be a redundant question - but I'll ask anyway....lol.
Would personally love to get some additional growth along my hair line. |

Will the blue cream stain my skin? Is the "for Blondes" version stronger?
I just got this product, hoping for some results soon. I am way too afraid to use it on my eyelashes. Since it stings my eyebrows, I shudder to think what it might do to my eye lids! |

I have used the CREAM- a little thicker so stays put better- on my eyelashes to good effect. It can sting a bit though. |

Do you buy this product from the reverse skin aging website? I emailed them asking whether they do international shipping, and they never replied.. Can anybody please recommend another source to buy this product? It sounds very intriging and I really wanna try it! |

fat_swan, I think I ordered the Folligen through Amazon because it's so easy and fast (for me). |

I got a ton of new growth using the Folligen for Blondes followed by regular emu oil (not the Skin Biology brand) to enhance the penetration. I did this 2x a week with very good results. |

The Blondes version is a tin peptide, not a copper peptide. I don't know if it is stronger per se, but it works and doesn't have the negative side effects that the blue/green of the copper does. There is no stinging of any kind, and it also causes your nails to grow like crazy...he sells a nail cream made from tin peptides as well, but you get the same benefit if you use the Folligen for Blondes on your nails.
The copper from the regular Folligen spray absorbed into my hair shaft for about 2" from the root of my hair up, and was invisible until I went to the salon and got my color touched up (reddish light brown)...the red reacted with the blue/green and turned a HORRID dark muddy brown that we had to bleach and strip out...I actually had to change hair colors for 6 months until we got all of the copper out. I promptly threw the Folligen spray away.
If you use ANY of the Folligen products on your eyes, you want to paint a fine line along your lash line...do NOT put on your eyelashes themselves. |

Just as an FYI alternative, I recently started using my (old formula) Revitalash on my eyebrows, which each had a bare patch in the middle, and it is causing them to fill in nicely. I assume Lumigan or Latisse would do the same. |

The only negative I found to using Revitalash (old formula) on my brows was that the new brow hairs ended up being far thicker and darker than the rest of my eyebrow hairs. I ended up plucking them back out because they looked so out of place. |

Bethany,
Thanks for the response - I've just ordered Folligen for Blonds. Was wondering - did you try dermarolling your hairline before an application of Folligen? I may try it...I think I read that dermarolling was rec. for hair growth and to combat hair loss - grey hair...
I imagine it could be worth a shot.... |

It's really not necessary if you use a penetrating oil like emu. BTW, emu has been shows to reactivate dormant hair follicules, so don't rule it out!
And if you DO roll your scalp, roll in ONLY one direction or you will tangle the roller in your hair. |

I can attest that Lumigan does indeed fill in bare patches. Worked great for me anyway. |

Bethany,
Hope you don't mind me butting into the conversation. I was just wondering if you used the same technique on your eyebrows as you did on your head? A thin layer twice a week followed my emu oil?
I've been eyeing the Folligen for a while, but I wasn't sure if I should go for the regular one or not. Now I know I'll definitely choose the Folligen for blondes. I dye my brows, and green eyebrows might just be a bit much. |

Hi everyone,
this sounds like a really interesting product. I've been worried about these lash growth products after reading they can darken the iris when applied to the lash line. Does anyone know if this might do the same ? or is it best just to stick to using it on the eyebrows ?
many thanks

Did NOT know that about EMU - I won't be rolling my scalp..lol
Thanks again - I've taken some good befores of my hairline - so it will be interesting to see if I get new growth there in a few months..... |

I never did the emu on my eyebrows, but that's a great idea. But I will probably do my eyebrows every other day since they look so bad at the moment. Every day is not recommended, but every other day is fine.
This thread reminded me that I need to get back on the Folligen wagon since I currently have one eyebrow that is very thin (I pull them out when I am stressed, sigh). |

Thanks for replying. I think I'll try every other day as well, my brows need all the help they can get! |

Jackie, none of the Folligen versions contain the ingredient that is known for darkening the iris.
I have been using Revitalash (old formula) for a little over a year, and my irises have definitely darkened (from light blue to a darker, duller blue). I think I'll start alternating with the Folligen and see if I can get rid of the Revitalash eventually. |

Jackie, I just started with the Folligen for Blondes on my lashes last night...I applied the cream with a Q-tip to my lash lines. We'll see what happens over the next month or so! |

Hi Bethany! How r u? I know it has been lots of times since you post this but I wonder if you ever had good results with folligen for blondes on your lashes? I´ve bought it for my boyfriend and I´m thinking about giving it a try on my short and thin lashes.
Thanks xxx |
