Does anyone have experience with such pruducts. And pils would be great. It is not that I wanna be white, but I do want to have that yellow tone to disseapair. Some people say that there is not such thing as whitening, but I think that there is, only its hard to find something. I know that it can be, because I have read that Lil Kim bleached herself also, so it can be done. It does not have to be a product that works quick, I rather want that it is safe and works evantually. Also my natural color when I was little, was white, just like Shannen Dorethy for example. So I think that it has to be (more) possible to lighten yourself, when you naturally was light. Also is it true that cumcubber can do lightening? I hate that yellow tone. |

I had a bad experience with a hydroquinone product (actually got dark patches). I had my under eyes treated with a Cool laser last year and that did some good (took 2 weeks to heal completely). I've also heard that IPL all over the face does good for skin tone.
I would start with the vit C serums. They really helped me I was somewhat sallow (have a light skin tone) now I look pretty rosy and my skin tone is more even. |

Hello Pipilover
I agree with Sharky don't use Hydroquinone, there is a lot of research showing it is harmful to the skin. When you say your skin is yellow I imagine you could be Asian. If that's right definitely don't use it. It can create strange white patches on your face.
Along with the Vit C, Kojic acid is supposed to be a gentle whitener. There's a very cheap one available here
http://www.dianayvonne.com/category/17/
Click on 'other actives' and the product is called
'Wildberry Extract and Kojic Acid'. I haven't tried it, but I understand it's safe and gentle and I've been thinking of getting some. |

Hi Molly and Sharky. Well actually molly I am an indian, but thats almost the same as asian, so you are right. I know that products with hydroquinone are bad, because my doctor said this. Now I have a question, I have read that the sleeping pil (natural) that is melatonine, most people use this after a jetlag is a product that lightens skin also, but I do not know if its true. If it would be, then it would be great because its safe and you can lighten then whole the body from inside out. Cause I do not want that only my face lightens up, cause that would be a litle weird. And also my chest area is lighter than my belly area, that part is dark yellow, so it is oneven and you can really see the color difference. And my legs are light. So you can imagine I think, that I am like duo pinotti. Have you heard about the godiva products, I have read about this on the forum asian skin whitening and heard not 1 bad word about it. In it there is also kojic acid and something that starts with the letter l its a natural thing from a plant. Only I hate it that it is not a pil form because that would be easier. I mean how can you reach every part of the body with lotions and soaps etc and what if you miss a part or not apply it even? Keep me on info please. |

O, another question. Where do you keep the vit c serum. I have read that it can turn yellow, and then its not good anymore. Can I keep it in a dark place or something? |

Hi Molly. About the melatonin stuff, I find it out on another forum at ask me helpdesk. There it was mention too, but they said that it is a hormonal thing so it is bad for the body. So that is of my list. But I will not give up, cause there has to be something out there. If Lil Kim has done it, then its possible. |

Remember, when you see her on mags and ads, she is airbrushed every where and publicity shots all go through photoshop (apparantly it took 4 months of tweaking before J Lo was happy with the shot for her new perfume ) |

Yeah guapagirl. Before your post, I had already seen it on another website. Looks weird huh. But still I think there had to be something for maybey people who are not so dark. And what I have already wrote when I was little a was white, so maybe I could have a change. I really want that the color of my body wolud be even and not yellow. I would rather want to be light brown like Nicole Ritchie. I have read somewher that creme the la mer has a whitening product for people who are not really dark. . Thanks for your post. |

if you were really pale when you were young, you may find that using a high spf will help, but I really don't think you can safely make your skin lighter than you were born with. I have a yellowish skin tone and it seems less obvious since using C serums as sharkey and molly suggested.

Thanks guapagirl. About vit c is it true that it is possible that its dryes your skin. And should you not use it under make-up and sunscreen before you go in the sun, because I have read that it can make the skin sensitive. |

pipilover,
I use vitamin C after washing in the water. I am quite oily, so I would welcome some drying of my skin. But somehow, it does not. I do use it under my eyes. And moisturize, and then apply sunblock on my face (and under the eyes). |

Ok, thanks quacko . Then I am a little , because i had read on another forum that someone wrote, that it can make your skin sensitive if you would go in the sun, if you would apply it under something. Because it would not work then or something and then you would have more chang of darkening pigments. I really need to know, cause I have ordred this stuff and want to use it right. Not knowledge about this kinda stuff, I am from Holland you know . . Bye!!! |

Vit C is good for sun exposure it heals sun damage (esp. in combo with vit E) it does not make you more sensitive. Some preps are a bit drying but I do not find that. |

O and quacko do you really want that your skin dryes (out)? You know what I really want: not dry and not oily. Because my cheeks are not hydrated and I know that hydrate means something else than oily, its more like a healthy glow, I mean like there is juice coming of from inside out, that is what I really want. And the most oily part of the face is my nose and very oily, I hate it. I rather would like it if it would be the chin area, because the nose is like in the middle of your face and you can not hide it or something. Its always there, hihi |

I used to have very dry skin, but since using C serums in conjunction with anything containing hyaluronic acid, my skin is pretty normal now. It may feel dry going on, but, that is just temporary. I actually think everyone benefits from C serums and along with sunscreen it is a defo must have |

A vitamin C serum (or lotion/cream) under sunscreen is the best thing to do for your skin. The vitamin C is an antioxidant and will help protect you from daily agressors. Religious use of a good sunscreen is key in keeping skin from getting color. You may also want to look into the new whitening line by La Prairie. I've read about it on the internet and it is quite expensive. I believe it is only available in the asian market. |

Hi Cuties. Is the whitening line from la prairie natural or chemical, because I dont want to use something that can make my hyperpigmentation worse then it already is. Bye bye. |
