I'm thinking of trying the Babor two step cleansing. I am combo/oily so I know I'd get the Soothing Hy-OL but am also very sensitive so I'm not sure if I should go with the Phytoactive Sensitive or Combination. What is the difference between the two? Can anyone help with ingredients for Hy-OL and the Phytoactives? Thanks. |

I tried the base for all skins and the Phytoactive Sensitive and really liked it.
I think if I were you I would go for the Phytoactive Sensitive if you go for the Soothing Hy-Ol, which is for combo oily skins. It seems that this way you'd get the best of both targets - sensitive and oily. |

I'll agree with Mabsy. the hy-ol soothing is the way to go. |

See if you can try a sample first. I have dry sensitive skin. I tried my hyol and photoactive sensitive for 3 days. I got 3 whiteheads. I have been using copper peptide for 3 weeks with no problem. I applied my copper serum as usual after using hyol and it stung me so bad |

Mtview, were you using Hy-OL or Soothing Hy-OL? I want to try the Soothing one since I'm combo/oily. Did you realize what ingredient(s) could have been the culprit of your whiteheads? |

cuties,
I just checked my trashcan The samples I used were hy-ol and phytoactive sensitive. I don't know what ingredients caused the problem |

I bought a sample of the sensitive hy-ol and have a question about usage - Are you supposed to massage the 1st step on your face for a while (few minutes) before you add the second step and water to emulsify? Or do you add the second step right away? I use OCM usually so not sure how to add the second step?
THanks, Amy |

I usually massage the first product on my face first before I add the second. |

First you put the oil, massage it in, then the phyto, massage it a bit more, than add some water to emulsify, and finaly splash with cold water. All together, it shouldn't take longer than 2 minutes tops! And most of the time (unless I wear stage make up )my face towel is clean! |

I have definitely seen the Soothing Hy-Ol on EDS before, but when I went looking for it earlier, I could no longer find it. Maybe you can contact EDS to find out? |

If you mean the Hy oil with ayulene *dark blue one, they stopped producing it about two years ago. But if you need it for combination skin, take Hy oil (the regular one) and phytoactive combination, with asulene, because it calms and regulates sebum flow. |

Does this product replace the OCM if you were using it? |

I would start with the sensitive phytoactive, I use the combination with no problems and I am very sensitive so you could try that later if you feel comfortable. |

Would like to know if I can just use the Hy-Ol cleanser without the Phytoactive? Would it be still effective? |

I would never recomend hy oil without the phytoactive, exept on the eyes, you shouldn't put the phyto on the eyes, just oil and water. |
