hi-
Maybe you could try L'Oreal microdermabrasion kit? I haven't but i think it may be good. I like Clinique 7 day scrub but not as scrubby as the dermabrasion products you mentioned maybe...
Good luck! |

The nicest microexfoliant I've tried so far is Epidermx. But there are slight things I'd want to change about it. |

When I first got Epidermx I was so excited from reading the reviews. But I don't know if it's me being pedantic or my skin type (oily), I found that after scrubbing the skin off, it leaves this sort of film over my face. And a lot of people said it was just the 'smoothness' of my skin, but I think it was the oil from the shea butter or something. And my face would be more greasy than usual in the morning.
If I could reformulate, I would leave out any oils, as I am rubbing it into my skin anyway. And I'd probably substitute with glycerine or aloe vera gel, with some sort of vegetable gum base.
(I'll be trying my own batch soon, I ordered some crystals, if it goes well I'll post the recipes thread) |

Hi, I was wondering if anyone used Valmont scrub? Is it any good?
I have fair skin, blue eyes, light brown/red hair. |

My daily favorite are the CSRx Polishing Grains. I mix them with my cleanser to make it an exfoliant. They are nice and gentle - not scratchy or abrasive at all.
I also use the NuSkin Polishing Peel occasionally and like the Adrien Arpel Papaya Enzyme mask for removing dead skin. |

As far as scrubs go, I really like the Cellcosmet Exfoliator, PTR Botanical Buffing Beads, SircuitSkin scrub, Pevonia Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser (which is more of a scrub) and also Olay Total Effects cleanser (also more like a gentle scrub). |

Hi you all,
I've just bought Neutrogena Deep Clean exfoliator with beta hidroxy acid. Have any of you ever tried it? I'm not a real fan of exfoliating, although I've done it many times before. How often should you exfoliate your skin? And what are the real benefits of doing that?
Hope you all well |

I think exfoliation is a really important of a face care regime.
Dead skin does build up, especially if yuou are using products which promote cell regeneration. And washing doesn't do enough to remove the layer of dead cells.
If you get rid of the dead cells on your skin then you can 'hasten up' any healing, or rejuvination.
Personally I exfoliate twice a week. Some people might prefer once or three times. But unless it's a daily exfoliator, you shouldn't use it more than every other day. The skin still needs to create cells to scrub off! |

Hi Miranets,
Thanks for your reply to my doubt, it was very kind of you! I think I'll exfoliate twice a week, too. By doing that I think I'll see the results of my anti wrinkle lotion much better. The actives I have in my lotion are the same of Alphaderma CE, except for the vitamin C. I contacted a chemist and asked to have a lotion formulated with Matrixyl, Argireline, Dmae, vitamins A and E liposomes and hyaluronic acid. It has shown some results, although I don't have any deep wrinkles; just a few fine lines under my eyes.
kind regards |
