Hey Everyone,

Since winter is approaching, I was thinking of investing in a good moisturizer. I've read some good stuff about Dermatalogica's Active Moist. However, I'm acne prone and am afraid that it will cause break outs. Does anyone have experience with this moisturizer and did it break u out? Anyone have any other recommendations?

TIA,
Anna

I am currently using Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream and just placed an order for the Intensive Moisture Balance. I really like the smoothing cream but I wanted something a little richer and heavier for the winter. MUA has alot of good reviews for the intensive moisture balance and I like to stay within the same product line so I am giving it a try...I will post a review when I get it Smile

I love AM in the summer, but move to the more intenstive Skin Smoothing Cream for winter. Why don't you get some samples to try and see what works for you?

I agree with Belle... I found the Smoothing Creme rich enough for cold winters. I just went through two samples and it moisturizes well. IMO, the Active Moist went on ... weird? It felt like it held silicone ingredients in it..I have no idea what's in it, but just didn't go on smoothly for me. No problems with breakouts whatsoever.

I too have used Active Moist on and off for a few years and prefer it in the summer and though it is by no means a completely matte look ( the oil control lotion is moreso), it is light in texture ( slightly runny white lotion which comes out of the tube in a big hurry if you arent careful!) and has never broken me out.
It is a very slightly sticky texture when it first goes on but it dries down and loses that effect. I have found it to be a good staple but doesn't particularly work on any problems or anything, I liked it! Smile
