Recommendation for eye cream

Hello,

I've recently developed bumpy looking skin in the creases between my nose and the beginning of my dark circles (yes, it is a large area of dark circle!) on both sides. The little bumps are starting to show up higher in my dark circles now. The bumps don't stick out far but look more like a collection of white dots. The skin is also rough and browning. Does this sound like milia? I've been using IS Clinical Eye Complex cream but haven't noticed it helps my circles and now this new problem has surfaced. I'm not sure if this is milia or some other kind of skin condition. I've tried to look at some posts here about eye cream but I'm overwhelmed with the number of options. If anyone has advice either for what it could be or what cream to use that would be great. I have sensitive skin but not dry. Also does anyone have experience with the product that Naturalis puts out for eye milia treatment?

I meant to say the area between where the dark think skin meets my normal skin. My circles are big but not to my nose! Shock

I'm not sure if that's classified as millia but I have gotten this in the past - bascially the skin in the inner corner under the eye because very rough and bumpy. I could particularly notice this when I applied concealer and it would sit in between the tiny little bumps.

If that's the same as what you're getting then I would suggest very mild exfoliation. Try to look for an eye cream with a little bit of glycolic acid. I have the MD Formulations vit-a-plus eye cream but I tend to use that on millia only (spot treat) as I find it a bit too strong for my eye area in general, though I could probably use it for a few days in a row with something over it. Neostrata makes a good eye cream that has some exfoliants in it as well, it's also quite cheap Wink

Thank you! Yes, you described it much better than I. It is rough and bumpy and my concealer sits between the tiny white bumps as you said. Thank you for the recommendation. It is happening on both sides. I will look for a cream with a mild exfoliant. I assume yours finally went away?

Is the cream you are referring to named
NeoStrata Eye Cream - PHA 4? Just want to make sure this is the right one. Thanks!

That's the one! Just a disclaimer - I haven't tried this but the PHA should be gentler than AHA. I actually plan on buying this eye cream next week (the reviews have finally got the better of me!) due to the gentler exfoliation.

Mine did go away but I find that they are closely linked to stress. I.e. when I'm very stressed, have late nights, lots of deadlines at work, this seems to come up - not always, but more often than not. My stratego to dealing with this is to first use something slightly exfoliating and then something really moisturising and soothing (in my case that usually is Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream or Creme de la Mer if I have a sample lying around). HTH

You have my situation pegged! I've been under so much stress and I'm sleep deprived. This is a normal reaction for me when stressed but with recent events such as being diagnosed with GERD and gastritis, along with the loss of my father, things have been more stressful than usual. Stress can cause so many strange things to happen to the body. It is hard to believe and sometimes I want to pinpoint on it being just physical and refuse the stress part but in my case I think it is true, stress is my problem!

I use Silkia Camellia oil every night. I love it and it does not break me out. Do you think I can follow up with this under my eye or is it too much?

I'm sorry to hear about everything you've gone through recently - on top of the emotional side, this will sure manifest itself in other ways (weird things happening to your skin, hair etc is one way I guess). No doubt, the best way to deal with the issue under your eyes is to actually eliminate or reduce the stress in your life, which is hard given your position at the moment.

I am not familiar with Camellia Oil - I have read a little bit about it here but have not actually tried it. If it's fine to be used around the eye area and is not too heavy (you don't want to fix this only to end up with millia!) then I think it should be ok. I'd feel better if you asked someone who uses it though.
