Going on vacation in about a month and am fair sensitive skin.

Which of these stands above the rest and why for facial use:

Thinkbaby sunscreen SPF50+ benefiting LIVESTRONG, 3 ounces.

Mustela High Protection Sun Lotion SPF 50 - 1.6 oz.

Obagi Medical Nu-Derm Sun Shield SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion, 3 Fluid Ounce

I don't like the thick white pasty kind that makes you look like a ghost. Was leaning towards ThinkBaby as it seems like a great product, but is solely Zinc (20%).

While Obagi Medical Nu-Derm Sun Shield SPF 50 is Octinoxate 7.5%, Zinc Oxide 10.5%.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

I don't know much about the sunscreens you listed but if you are open to other suggestions, some favorites with members here are Burnout, Devita, Elta MD, Pratima, Clarins and recently, Suntegrity. Might be worth checking out related posts if you are interested.

Thanks, but never heard of any of the ones you mentioned. Looking for feedback solely on the ones mentioned in the initial post.

re: your three
and only your three
I'd stay clear of the octinoxate
and
high zinc still seems to me insufficient as broad spectrum protection.
so that leaves you with one.

Can you elaborate on staying clear of octinoxate?

OP, what do you think about using an organic sunscreen, such as the ones made by Aubrey Organics?

Cosmedix Serious Protection spf 28 is working really well for me right now. It is the best I have found so far, have been using it for two weeks.

It's a thicker cream but it is chemical free and I like it.

Not really much of a concern.

Sounds like Mustela, but that low of an SPF won't work.

Also looking at Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid SPF 50.

FYI from TIA:
Octinoxate or octyl methoxycinnamate
Octinoxate is the most widely used UVB blocking agent in the skin care industry. It does not filter UVA rays.
However, it isn't very stable. When octinoxate is exposed to sunlight, it is converted into a less UV absorbent form (from E-octyl-p-methoxycinnamate into a Z-octyl-p-methoxycinnamate). Given that its job is to be exposed to sunlight, this seems to me to be a somewhat fundamental limitation.

According to the EWG, Octinoxate is a moderate hazard, primarily because it can lead to developmental and reproductive toxicity through enhanced skin absorption. It’s a penetration enhancer and is easily absorbed into the skin. It can produce estrogen-like effects and should not be used by pregnant women and children. However, the research is contradictory as to what concentrations are toxi Norwegian study in 2000 declared toxicity on mice at levels much lower that that used in sunscreen. Studies of percutaneous absorption indicate that 1 to 2% of the applied material may be absorbed through the skin. Most of the octyl methoxycinnamate appears to be trapped in the stratus corneum in adults. However, concerns have been expressed about the use of this sunscreen ingredient in children where the stratus corneum is less likely to be protective.
Other studies, were the result of concentrations higher than any formulas in skin care products. Bottom line: More research is needed.
Given that it isn't even very stable in sunlight, it's probably not worth the risk.
