Skin Biology Exfol Serum

Skin Biology Exfol Serum
Size: 28.3 g / 1 oz
Price: $16.00 USD

   Description

Exfol Serum contains 2% Salicylic Acid to help exfoliate or remove damaged skin proteins and dead skin cells.

SRCPs work well in conjunction with beta hydroxy acids such as salicylic acid.

A leading dermatologist, Dr. Albert Kligman, believes that BHAs (in particular salicylic) at concentrations of about 2% are better than AHAs for anti-aging and for skin exfoliation. Professor Kligman is well known in dermatology for his research on the anti-aging actions of retinoic acid (Retin-A). Results from Dr. Kligman's laboratory found that the outermost stratum corneum layer is renewed after applications of salicylic acid.

A small amount of the salicylic acid is converted into copper salicylate, a powerful and safe anti-inflammatory. This blends skin exfoliation with skin soothing actions. Salicylate also has ultraviolet absorbing properties. Professor John Sorenson has researched and written extensively on beneficial actions of copper salicylate on skin, general health, and the anti-cancer properties of copper salicylates. See: www.skinbiology.com/copperhealth.html.

The BHA hydroxy acid loosens the damaged skin proteins and the SRCPs help in the removal of the old, damaged proteins.

Beta hydroxy acid exfoliating creams, and their stronger versions are used as "chemical peels", to remove upper skin layers. Likewise, Retinol and Retin-A (retinoic acid) both help to reduce many types of scars and skin blemishes, but can be quite irritating to the skin. The Copper-Peptide creams help to reduce skin irritation and seem to improve the benefits of Hydroxy Acids, Retinol, and Retin-A.

Caution: Exfol Cream and Exfol Serum contains salicylic acid. If you have allergies to salicylates (such as you cannot eat fruit), we recommend you obtain a alpha hydroxy acid ( 10% at a pH 4 or below ) from a spa or cosmetic counter.

Exfol Serum
• A 2% salicylic acid that gently exfoliates damaged skin
• Removes skin imperfections

   Usage

Since the skin is in layers and damage can exist in layers, it is important to use a good method of exfoliation along with copper-peptides for improved results.

AM: After cleansing the skin, apply a light amount of SRCPs (which contains a strong concentration of SRCPs that can be used very lightly once a day). This should just barely cover the face without leaving it excessively wet or damp. Be careful with using around the eye area, or if you have sensitive skin.

PM: After cleansing the skin, apply a light amount of Exfol Serum (a 2% hydroxy acid chemical exfoliant which helps to break down damaged skin proteins).

Some clients work up to twice a day applications and apply Exfol Serum in the morning (then wait 20-30 minutes) then apply the copper-peptide of their choice on top. REPEAT in the evening, finishing with a moisturizer such as Emu Oil-S Lipid Replenisher.

Leave on. Do not wash off. Use cautiously around the eye area. Avoid upper eyelid.

Burnout Sunscreen Review (physical sunscreen) -RAVE
Seems mainly one person on this forum keeps bringing this non issue up.(not you summer2004) Unless your a hairless mouse or using it with copper, I would not have any concerns. Besides, those studies are referring to Aloe Vera alone. Not in a well formulated product like Burnout with many other ingredients that are anti-UV such as Zinc.

LOL you can hide your head in the sand Panda but others realize aloe is a bad idea in sunscreens too. EvaVictoria MD on Longecity (for one) spoke about
