In light of some of the "less than happy" threads I just read here on EDS, I decided to share a little bit of MY happiness...my new kitten!
His name is Bacardi Blue, he is 12 weeks old, and he has already successfully integrated himself with the rest of my furkids, lol. He is 12 weeks old in these pics.
If you want to see the rest of the herd, click on any of the pics and it will take you to the album.

I'm baaaacck! And guess what...I have another new furkid, lol.
His name is Onyx, and he is also an Exotic (a short haired Persian). He and Bacardi have the same father, and Onyx is about 2 months younger. They are inseparable!
Here a few pics of them having fun...please note that THEY made the mess in the last photo. All that tissue paper was in the box, until they got a hold of it.

I'm baaaack!!
Well it has been quite some time since I posted on this thread, and a LOT has changed.
The bad news....I lost my precious Marmalade to diabetes a few months ago, which broke my heart. I still miss him terribly.
The good news (or not so bad news)...I was under a huge amount of stress over the last couple of years, and what made me happy? KITTENS! So I added 2 more Exotics to my brood...Paisley (a tortoiseshell) and Shelby (a Seal Lynx Point). I don't think I have posted these pics below...
So the grand total of furkids is 7. But I am capping it there, as they are quite a handful and frankly cost me a fortune since this breed has some health issues. But they sure do provide me with a whole lot of happiness and love.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Marmalade, Bethany. I can wholeheartedly sympathise with how much you miss them when they go. Such a huge feeling of loss.
Your two new kittens are adorable, though. Just be prepared for plenty of extra naughtiness from your tortie girl (but they do make up for it in terms of love and making you laugh). I find that torties are quite often extremely intelligent, too - which makes them even more mischievous!
Our own very much missed tortie provided us with such wonderful memories.
Shelby has such an extraordinarily beautiful markings. I'm very experienced with moggies and hardly at all with pedigrees so I've never ever seen a Seal Lynx Point before. Wow! |
