Another question from me! :P
I've had these small whitish dot/lumps around the corners of my mouth for some time (since the age of 13-14 again). I thought they were just spots but they have stayed the same but have increased in number.
They now show up on my upper lip and this makes it look like my lip is loseing it's colour. When you look at the lip closely and stretch the skin, you can see that the lighter areas of my lip (where it looks like the colour is going) is made up of loads of tiny whitish dots/lumps.
I think these are just oil glands but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get rid of them or to make them less noticeable?
Thanks! |

After reading a thread on here, I think these now might be milia!
I seem to have the same white small dots around the bottoms of my eye lids as well.
So do you know of something to help reduce this? Both in the lips and around my eyes?
From the thread I read they were talking about using 'Yonka Phyto-Contour Eye Firming Cream'. Can I use this on my lips as well? Or is there something better?
Thanks,

Hi!
Yeah, she was rubbish! She just said everyone has it... I'm sure no one I know has it though.
The doc said don't worry about it but I feel like it shows up, even more so when I smile and my lips pull tighter.
It does look the same as the small white dots around my eyes.

I'm from London!
I don't think it's a weather related condition as I've had it since I was about 13-14 and I'm 23 now.
It was after reading the other thread on here, that I'm now sure that it is milia... but then again, I'm not sure!

I may have been the author of the post you read about the Yonka contouring cream for milia under the eyes. If that is what you have, I highly recommend. Mine have never completely disappeared but they have shrunk to a nearly unoticeable size. You CAN use it around your lips (and I do!). In fact, the directions actually say to use around eyes and lips.
Also- when did you first notice the bumps and, if recently, are you using a moisturizer or some other product that you haven't before? That can be the cause of milia (IF it is milia). That is how I got mine - from an eye cream. If they are milia, they are not going to go away on their own - even if you quit using the product that cuased them. You can have them completely removed with a laser - but I wasn't ready for that step and tried the Yonka with which I have been delighted!!
I do agree w/ others that you might want to consult your doctor about whether you have milia b/c I don't think I've ever heard of it around the lips or on the eyelids. I've only heard of milia under the eyes. (But what do I know!!)
Good luck! |

Hi!
Yeah, it was you in the thread:
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1159
I think I first noticed them around my lips when I started getting a bit spotty at the age of 13-14. I also noticed that it stayed there when I started shaving. I thought they'd go when I got older as I just thought they were spots but they've stayed the same.
I then did a bit of searching on the net and thought they might be oil glands as I'm a bit oily. This was when I noticed it under my eyes in the area where the skin is quite fine (and a bit blueish with me!). I didn't mean on the eye lids them selves.
I think I'll try the Yonka stuff (it sounds like a make of yogurt! ) if I can get it in the UK.
Thanks for the help!

I found it on this site but I can't pay for it! I can only pay with a Switch card or with PayPal.
Anyone know of a site which takes these payments and can ship to/is based in the UK?
Thanks,

I think I got mine at the Bliss website (www.blissworld.com). I know they ship internationally and there is a Bliss Spa in London as well. I don't know about the payment they'll accept. (It's also $6 cheaper on that site!) You can also go directly to Yonka's website -www.yonka.com. I haven't purchased anything directly from the site so I wouldn't know but it's worth a try. |
