I dont have horrible acne, just scars on my forehead, pimples and blackheads on my nose.
I really hope that I can find something that can erase them by school starts.
Any new suggestions out there? =/
I am currently using Proactive and Clearsil, does it work? Or should I switch to something else?

If anyone can shed some light on the situation I would be forever greatful xD
Here are some things I found online that people said worked:

1) A glass of warm water and lemon
2) Crush 3-4 asprin, mix with a litte water, apply to face and let sit for 30minutes.
3) Lemon and cucumber, let sit for 15 minutes
4) 1 tomato chopped, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 T oatmeal, blend until combined. Leave on face for 10 minutes.
5) Grind nutmeg with unboiled milk and apply on acne for 1-2 hours.
6) Make paste by mixing honey (organic raw honey preferrably) and cinnimon powder. Apply before sleeping and wash the next morning.
7) Apple fresh lime juice mixed to a glass of boilded milk as face wash.
Cool Mix small amount of Baking soda with some water to form paste. Massage for 10-15 seconds.
9) Cook soem plain oatmeal, let cool off, apply so skin, let sit for a while, and rise off.

Can you guys give me any light on the current situation?

Hi HockeyChick!

I cannot be sure but it may be that the products that you are using are too drying for your skin and may acutually be causing the blackheads and pimples.

I would suggest a nice non foaming gentle cleanser and light moisture lotion for you to help with the pimples and blackheads.

An aspirin mask or good tea tree oil may also help.

Beyond that, for your scarring, you may want to consider microdermabrasion.

I love Ice Elements products and my son is having great luck with them for acne. They have a wonderful onsite resident Esthetician who you can speak with on the message board at http://iceelements.com

While they do not sell microdermabrasion units or products, Brenda (the Esthetician) has been speaking with others about them... what to look for, etc.

Whatever you choose, please try and be gentle with your skin as using too many products or too harsh of a regimin could cause further problems...

Good luck!
Bosoxy.

I've been getting good results too with the Juice Beauty Peel, and using Aminogensis Photolagen. It's a really slow process but I can definitely see a difference.

Jurlique Elder Cream is supposed to be for fading scars and pigmentation. I cannot comment on its effectiveness, I am waiting for mine to arrive in the mail...

Hi. My dermatologist suggested glycolic acid and retinoids for acne marks. She also prescribed azelaic acid (used to treat rosacea) for spots. HTH.

I had cystic acne for over a year which left reddish brown "ice picks" & scars behind. I tried various products for many months, but most of them did nothing. The only product that helped me is Fair & Lovely Anti-Marks cream (see http://mall.coimbatore.com/bnh/fair-n-lovely/fnlantimarkscreampop.html).

I have tried the regular version and the ayurvedic (herbal) version & would recommend both, although the regular version acts faster. It is also very cheap.

TCA "cross" peels work wonders for acne scarring. Don't buy TCA from ebay though despite what they claim it IS watered down!

I believe that posters on acne.org talk about TCA cross. I wonder how many of those people that didn't get the results they wanted bought theirs from ebay. I did at first, from two different sellers and what a waste. I could feel that it wasn't strong when it was on my face. The results showed the same. I was using it for hyperpigmentation but the same can be said for scarring. If it's a weak product it isn't going to work. Buy from a reputable source. I should add, I don't work for these people. Do a search here to see others that have written about this company. They ought to pay me, I tell everyone about them. Smile

Read the thread shown below about TCA peels. I'll rave about this company (and their TCA peel) to anyone! You can purchase a sample which gives you 3-4 full face peels (more if you are only doing certain areas) and that way you aren't spending too much money on a full vile.

I wanted to also suggest the Juice Beauty Green Apple peel, it helps get rid of pigmentation for me from leftover spots and seemed to lighten some of my freckles too. Smile

I alternate between the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel and the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. I have noticed a reduction in the color of my scars, but it doesn't happen overnight.

The Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel absolutely works!! When I started using it a few months ago, I had one scar that was so big and red, you could even see it through my concealer and foundation!! Now it's faded so much that I can barely even see where it was. Phew!

I use neostrata spot lightener to get rid of dark pigmentation left from acne scars. It works fairly well- there are skin bleaching products that produce faster results but I find the neostrata a LOT gentler on the skin. It's also great to put on healing acne or scabs- it totally minimizes any future pigmentation.
