I was told that one should always put on sunscreen first but when I put on skinceuticals Defense UV sp30 first, my cheeks break out. Would it be all right to put on moisturizer first? |

Hello there! I stumble this site and I'm glad I found it. I'm a Godiva Skin Care customer for about 4 months now (12/03) and I'm Filipino/Chinese decent so my skin is quite fair. My primary concern was my dark underarm. I used their Underarm Regiment (Whitening soap, Whitening cream and Deodorant/Anti-Persperant Roll-on) and guess what, it has lighten. Although it took weeks to see the results but I'm very happy with it. I also uses their Toner and the Fruit Acid cream at nite before going to bed. Just a very very slight cream to put on your face because of it's silkiness. You'll see the results in about 2 weeks and your face feel soft and supple.
Now that Naturefina.com do sells these products in a less amount of money, how's their service? If they're based in USA, where at? Anyone knows? Although I just recently have my sister bought me more products from the Philippines (and yes, to compare Phil. prices against their online price it's really highway robbery ) but as one of the poster said, that's how they get their profit I guess...) Lastly, I lived in the Bay Area (Northern California) and so far there's no Filipino Store that really sells exclusively yet... So if anyone out there knows, do let me know - email me at: sdramos928@yahoo.com will yah! Thank you in advance...
So overall... I would of course recommend this product for those who would like to have a fair skin. Ladies who are American/African decent, might find it that they'll have probably have a fairer skin or even their skin tone result. And for that one poster who mentioned, who wants to have a white skin, it doesn't mean literally white, as in white as a sheet, but a more fair, even tone skin result.
I hope I've helped others to give this product a try... Good Luck!
one truly Godiva Skin Care Client! |

Lan,
From what I recall this depends on what type of sunblock you are using. If you are using a sunscreen then you should apply it first because the chemicals need to react with your skin to be effective. If you are using a sunblock then you can put it on last because it phisically blocks the radiation and thus does not need to have "direct" contact with your skin.
Have a look at this thread http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1272, it may explain things a bit better for you.

I use a sunblock and have always put it on after moisturizing. I find that if I put it on before then the moisturiser doesn't seem to go on properly.
On the label of the sunblock I am using, it also says to apply after any makeup. |
