Some people switch their skin/hair care products up because they believe that products lose their effectiveness after prolonged use.
That is, they think that once their skin/hair gets used to a product, it won't be as potent as it first was.
What do you think of such a belief? Do you agree with it?
And do you switch up your products? |

Haircare products can build up and appear less effective but hair cannot gain a tolerance because it is dead. There are certainly topical actives skin can become less responsive to, acids are one example. But with many anti-ageing actives consistent use over a lengthy period of time is key to efficacy. Most of my skincare routine is consistent partly because my skin is sensitive, but I do trial a new product or gadget every so often. Searching for my personal holy grails and because I don't really like recommending things I haven't used.
What about you Veronica? |

Firefox, once I find my HG product, I will use it for years. But people on other forums keep saying that switching products up is a good idea. |
