OK, can't be arsed to read the whole thread but oil pulling is swishing olive oil around for 10 mins and then spit it out? you get good skin and clear eyes?

Anyone say if it's a load of cr@p? Though cheap enough to try!

I'm breastfeeding right now and I've tried OP with no problems. Not sure what to use for dark circles. I added Oil of Oregano to my sunflower oil.

OK read the article on OP someone posted on the end of the thread and it would seem that oil pulling will have absolutely no adverse impact on breastfeeding or pregnancy Smile

Anyone care to share if Oil Pulling should be done before or brushing teeth. And if before, can I brush my teeth straight after?

I tried researching on the internet, but got too confused with differing opinions on this other natural remedy forum that I visited!Embarassed

Thanks much in advance!

I have never heard of such a thing - I wonder what science says about this technique and where it originate from? Haven't read the link yet bit will.

My daughter read about OP online, and she decided to give it a try. At first I thought she was talking about the OCM...then she started talking about swishing this stuff in her mouth.. I started laughing 'cuz I thought she had read the instructions wrong! Smile

I posted earlier that she was using sunflower oil, but it turns out she's using sesame oil.

I'm gonna let her be the guinea pig on this one...sounds kinda gross to me.

Tsk, tsk! This is ludicrous. I would just purchase an emollient eye cream to smooth out the undereye area, than use a good concealer, like Cover FX. Problem dark circles solve..albeit temporarily but at least the dark circles are covered up.

Think its Ayurvedic ancient system of healthcare, Indian origin. It's range of benefits are very wide.. facinating!

Ahh.. if it's various testimonials are to be believed, it's a lot more than just good skin and clear eyes! Various health benefits as well, in fact from what little I had read, for quite a number of people, glowing skin is just a happily accepted side effect of the health benefits they were seeking!

I've been oil swishing for a couple years, and I think it's very helpful for my teeth and gums. I'm not sure if it has lessened dark circles for me or not. Many people find it helps minimize sinus problems and prevent colds. I don't know about that since I don't get them anyway.

I use organic sunflower oil. I can really tell the difference if I skip several days. I used to have some links about a doctor who did research on it, and what is found in the oil after swishing if you look at it under a microscope. I don't think I have the links any more.

You could probably find out more about it at CureZone* or EarthCures*

I'm unable to post a link, but you can check out OilPulling * also for more information.
