Hello,
I'm loking for a physical(organic) sunblock that doesn't give you this white residue. I have a very white skin, and it doesn't really shows on my skin until I will exercise or walk faster than usually.When I do that my face will become more red (due to blood circulation) and then this sunblock will shows up as a white residue. Although nobody, but me see that my face covered with something white, I don't like it. It's too bad I'm allergic to chemical sunblocks...I ordered Skincuetical sunblock. Did anyone used it? Also, does Roth physical sublock gives the same kind of white residue? Is there are any pyisical sunblocks that don't have white mineral residue?

| I have tried skinceutical pysical UV, but it was very greasy and left a white cast. Maybe you should try clinique cityblock (also physical), as it has a pinkish tint to it. you can also purchase the cityblock with a bronze tint. |

Laral: I have the skinceuticals physical sunscreen and it does leave a white cast after you first put it on but after a few minutes it sinks in- on me anyway. My skin is normal to dry to maybe I need the extra moisture.
Dr H's one is nice too (SPF 20) but again may be too greasy for some. Right now it is perfect for me.
My favorite that I have come across is Epicuren's Zinc sunscreen. It is not greasy, does not have a white cast, and has a nice matte finish. It is 20 SPF so I have been wearing it in the winter and when the weather is nicer I have been using the SKinceuticals which is SPF 30.
I also have Avene SPF 50 no chemical suncreen for days when I am outside more. It has a pinkish color out of the tube and seems to not irriate my skin but I do feel like I have something "on" when wearing it. |

| Just tried a new product by BareSport Minerals which is Block & Stop SPF30. It's a physical blocker with brushstick dispenser that has flesh/clear minerals so you don't have the white pastey look. It is comparable to Peter Thomas Roth and it is only 19.99 online. It's being marketed to athletes because it doesn't burn the eyes. |

| The ZO Skin Health sunblock is very nice...it is tinted, but works for all skin colors. |

| i am currently using the organic sunblock physical one from DDF and its working well for me also with no white residue.....my skin is medium brown so any whiteish residue from SS would show up quickly on me and make my face look a weird gray color but this one blends in well |

I use a product called Clear Zinke, by Key-Sun, it is absolutely the best thing I have ever found and I am paranoid about sun exposure.
It looks white in the tube, but it goes on perfectly clear. It's a little shiny to start with, but I find it sinks in so you can wear it alone, or it goes very well under makeup.
And it's cheap as chips. |

I second the Devita! Keys Solar is also nice, a little thicker (more staying power) and not white when rubbed in (I'm pale too). It doesn't advertise as being for sports, though... But it's what I wear on sweaty days during the summer, and I'm still happily pale.  |

| I am a very happy user of NIA24 SPF30 sunscreen. Goes on light and sinks right in. I wait maybe 5-10 mins before applying makeup. Now that it's starting to get colder I have found that I need an additional moisturizer underneath. The added benefit is that it contains niacin and helps to impove skin tone and hyperpigmentation (which is why I originally started to use it). This is the first sunscreen that I have ever been able to use without getting clogging pores and breakouts. |

| I also use Devita Solar Moiturizer SPF30. It is very suitable for oily or combo skin prone to breakouts. |

Lara, our complexions sound similar, so once again I'll sing the praises of SVR 50.
SVR 50 is an all physical s/s with an spf 50, ppd 20. It's tinted so I often just use it as my moisturizer (I'm oily in my Tzone), s/s, and foundation. It leaves a beautiful finish that I just soften with a light dusting of powder. The high ppd and beautiful for my skin color are the best I've ever found.
When I don't want the color, I use Avene Emulsion with a spf 60 and ppd 20. Light, non-greasy coverage without leaving a white cast.

| I use the Dr Hauschka SPF 30 the one designed for children on my face and it goes on thick white and sticky but once it settles it doesn't leave a white cast. |

| Physical sunscreens usually use titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, and I recall both tend to leave a white cast. Some newer versions use something micronized which is supposed to solve the white finish problem. Skinceuticals physical sunscreen leaves a very heavy white cast for me, although it settles in a while I still don't like the greasy feeling. I recall Clarins UV40 is physical and does not leave a white cast, and I am currently using Shiseido SPF33 which is good too. |

| I've used Skinceuticals UV Defense and I really loved it, but it became almost impossible to find it at retail stores/spas in Toronto. So I managed to find eltaMD oil free and it is a lot lighter then Skinceuticals. I love it and it does not break me out. |

| My derm gave me eltaMD and it has a tint to it, like skincolor. Also the Neutregena dry for faces (high spf) gives great protection w/o a white residue. I only had a sample, sorry I can't remember the full name. |

Hi. I'm new to this forum but have been a member of MUA for about 6 years now.
I love love love Elta MD UV Physical SPF 41. It's all physical, slightly tinted and dries very, very matte. It's a dream for those of us who need (or just prefer) physical blockers. I prefer physical blockers because in my experience, the prevent pigmentation and facial redness better than the higher PPD, more protective Euro sunscreens (and I've tried them all). Go figure.
I also like Blue Lizard baby or sensitive. It's also all physical, though it does have a whitish cast. However, it tends to sink in after several minutes. I use this on my body more than my face.
