I clean my brushes every Sunday, except my foundation brush - that gets cleaned after every use.

Mild shampoo as well every week. make sure the water isn't too hot and dry either flat or hanging upside down, to keep the hairs good Smile

I wash my brushes once a week, more often if they are of the wet type (i.e. liquid foundation brush, cream blush etc).

Have a look at http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=2346 and

Yes, baby shampoo or own shampoo, or even face cleanser if desparate. I think Jane Iredale and co. make their own brush cleanser- I don't think it is really worth spending money on, when shampoo or whatever will do instead.
I would also say at least once a week wash, but it depends on how often you use the brush. I usually wipe mine a little then dry flat on a towel on the bathroom bench.
Gosh, would never have thought to have so much to say about brush cleaning techniques. Bit crazy maybe. Shock
