Hey Elmo
I really shouldnt be on here because Im revising for my final exams, but when I saw this post I had to respond!

Hi Elmo,
I am a gal but we are always pleased to have the male perspective.
Farouk
we are missing you and your take on things. I guess you have not been trying out any new fantastic lines lately. Hurry up and come back. |

Ah, cheers loopylori.
I promise ill be back formally soon. Ill be posting some ace reviesws. Ive not been treating my skin to the usual Dermalogica facials owing to the absolute masses of work ive got to get through, but ive tried a couple of new lines, namely B. Kamins which im getting great results with. Ive only been using it 2 weeks but im well chuffed with the results.
Ill be back online after the 21st of May (if ive passed!! If not, me and and my skincare products are coming in my coffin, so I can treat my skin in heaven!)
Take care, please all say prayers that I pass,
Farouk |

Elmo,
Welcome! I am a guy too. And so totally into skin care! I think you'll find everybody here so friendly & helpful. Don't be shy, just because we're guys doesn't mean we want to be wrinkly!

im a guy 2 m8
im not obsessed or anything, but i look after my body in other ways (gym, healthy food etc) so i figure why not do it for my skin as well?!
this wilkl sound ridiculous but i like being in a female-orientated forum! it seems more chilled etc than a male-dominated forum (the bodybuilding forum i belong to is obviously pretty male dominated) |

at the moment, nivea cleansing face scrub & cheap superdrug moisturiser (it has added vit c which the tub seems to advertise highly!)
i also use tesco baby lotion for my body skin, although i have found it a little 2 oily TBH
the second my exams finish (under 2 weeks!!!!!!!) im gonna move directly onto every item in carekates homemade range! (except, perhaps, the lip balm thing) |

rosebud,
I use:
-a Papaya Cleansing Gel (with AHA) (AM & PM)
-a 15% MSM toner (AM & PM)
-moisturizer (AM)
-vitamin c serum (PM)
-oxygen serum (AM)
-eye cream (AM & PM)
Once a week I do a pumpkin enzyme peel and/or at-home microdermabrasion in cycles.
I know...I'm a little obsessed! |

I won't even try to compete with you
Are you single - I bet your other half is in heaven stealing all your products
I would certainly be swiping some Vitamin C serum. Oxygen serum sound good too. |

LOL! No, I'm not single - but my other half is so not into skincare! I'm talking soap on the face here! I cringe when I see it, but it's like trying to talk to a wall!

I think this is so great! I've finally got my husband of 13 years to stop using body bar soap on his hair and to use sunscreen at least on his face. He's always looked after his lips though, which is nice. |

I think that looking after your skin etc is important for both men and women
So welcome guys ! Its nice to know that there are some well groomed guys out there who like to look after themselves, and are not afraid to say !
I have given my mate (a bloke) facials before but am always sworn to secrecy ! Dont know why, cos who made beauty products a girl thing, there are great products out there for both men and women.
As far as Im concerned this forum is brilliant and the more members (male & female) the merrier !! |

My boyf even has his own concealer stick - he's not needed to use it for ages though.
He loves his Neal's Yard orange and honey facial scrub, his witch hazel toner and Nivia Visage oil free lotion. He won't let me introduce anything new, won't even try my Dr Hauschka!!!!!
It's because I made up a face mask a couple of years ago using clays and essential oils, but being a novice I put way too much essential oil in and my poorly boyf who has very sensitive skin nearly burnt his face off
.....he doesn't trust me anymore and refuses point blanc to try anything new I suggest. |
