I've been looking into organic products since I'm allergic to everything and have been having good results with the products I've found that are chemical free (sunblocks, shampoos, etc.). I found Miessence which is based in Australia and wanted to know the feedback and reputation of the company in Australia. I understand that they are now expanding to the U.S. where network marketing has either an absolutely love/hate relationship. People either love them (usually those involved and hyped) or hate them (saying that only ones that make money are the creators of the company off of the wallets of the individual reps).
I'm mainly interested in the products and like the idea of using things that support the environment and are good for the consumer. I've found that most on the EDS discussion threads are of like mind as I am when it comes to being informed and having a strong opinion and would appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks! |

Thanks for posting about this company. I took a look at some random products -- and if the ingredients posted are true and complete -- it looks wonderfully pure! I've never tried them personally, but it certainly looks like a great company. |

Hi there
I am in NZ, just across the 'ditch' from Aus, as we say here.
I've found the website to be very informative of ingredients... which is a quality which I like!!
If you do some sort of google search for natural organic products, literally millions of pages under the guise of 'natural living' 'natural secret' etc etc, come up, and they all sell Miessence products. I find this kind of dubious... Especially if they don't actually list the product name in the main description of the website. It's always something like 'click here for all natural living' and before you know it, it's a site for Miessence.
But as for the style of selling the products, in countries (apart from Aus and US at the moment) that don't have one wholesale distributor for the country, the only way to sell is through enrolling in their autoship type of program. THe markup of the products is at least 60%. I thnk price-wise they are a bit high. You can get 50% discount if you order quite a lot of products as a wholesaler or distributor, and you can get fullsize products for sampling for 60% discount. So I am guessing they'd be making quite a lot off it from direct selling.
I've bought products (through auction site) of the sensitive skin cleanser and blemish gel thing. And also received a free toothpaste - which has been very good so far.
I must say the ingredients are very pure and such, but the effects just don't amaze me.
Another thing to consider, call me pedantic, but even if they are certified organic, I am not sure if that entails that the plants are bio-dynamically grown. Which means, if the land is treated 'nicely' (soil protection etc) as part of the process. I am sure it would be, but there is no guarantee of it unless they state that. |
