Bottom line-I got this in the corrective yellow shade for my under eye area to conceal light circles. While I did like this product a lot, it was a bit too dark for my very pale skin. I know that this is meant to be layered under foundation (as it is a corrective shade) but I was hoping for a good color match so I could wear this and nothing else. I want to try the lightest shade (non-corrective) to see if that might do the trick. Anyway, this does conceal very nicely and looks VERY natural (as do all of the Organic wear products). It is also very moisturizing without being greasy and seemed to have great staying power. At 6.99 USD, its worth a try.

Bottom line-I LOVE THIS POWDER!!! Its really everything I have always wanted, mattifying, evens out skin tone, minimizes pores and feels weightless. The best part is it looks so incredibly natural, I cant stress enough how much this looks and feels like a second skin. Totally un-makeup-y! There is zero caking or unnatural color change throughout the day. This is also the most finely milled powder I have ever used. Doesnt dry out my face. (I purchased this in "translucent light")

Bottom line- Another winner! This is meant to be applied as a veil or setting powder for the TM or loose/pressed powder, can also be worn alone. Just like the loose powder this is so finely milled it just melts into your skin leaving you with the most natural look. I use this during the day for touch ups after blotting. Although it does contain mica, this isn't shimmery or sparkly. It does however, give that much sought after "soft focus finish". Its surprisingly the best finishing powder I have ever used. This is also available in 3 bronzing shades for those who desire. (I purchased this in "translucent")
I am not normally one who wears drugstore MU, with all the money I spend on skincare, I don't want to risk putting MU on that will muck it up, so, I was really surprised that I even tried this line. All the products are reasonably priced and really seem to deliver on the promises...and then some. Each time I use the loose powder and veil, I fall in love with them more and more, I haven't used my beloved Alima. It looks so heavy in comparison.
All of the coverage is pretty sheer, in a good way, so if you have a lot to cover up this brand might not be the best option for you. Unless you want to conceal first with a heavily pigmented concealer. I have also used both powders on and around my eyes without getting that creepy look that most powders will create.
I cant wait to try the pressed powder and the blushes and will report back when I do! All in all fantastic products at a fantastic price, highly recommended!
The only thing I cannot stand is the packaging for the loose powder and veil, big and clunky and the brushes are scratchy. I plan on just repacking them into something that travels better since I use my own brushes anyway.
For reference I have oily, acne-prone skin with large pores. |
