Hello All,
I was in Montreal recently and had a aromaplasty facial at Spa Eastman (love this place) and I was recommended a nightime moisturizer called Aromaessence ? Could you comment on their line of overnight creams. I use the Decleor for Men products but never anything at night and the esthetician told me that is the time skin really needs moisture.
Many thanks,

well, ther's some debate in this area. i use the dr hauschka products and it is recommended not to use a night time moisturiser as your skin can become too reliant on it and will *forget* how to make it's own (or something sort of like that). the upshot of this is that your skin repairs *itself* without any help over night from extra moisturisers.
however, there's also another school of thought about needed to feed your skin more moisture over night.
personally, i find that i don't need a moisturiser any more at night but others swear by it. we've talked about this just recently elsewhere so check it out!

At night I prefer to cleanse and tone, no moisturiser. My Oily skin would never thank me in the morning for having used a night cream, however during the winter months I do find I need to use a little something.
I use a few drops of Jojoba Oil or if you like the Decleor range then the Aromaessence's are nice.
It depends on your skin type I think, if you have very dry skin you may feel that you will benefit from using a nightime moisturiser.
It does just come down to personal preference. |

I think I will just stick to my usual routine of cleansing and then moisturizing with Contre Temps in the morning. I was advised to use the Jeu de Billes only once a week during the winter months. I really like the Decleor line of products and very happy to have found Essential Day Spa since most retailers charge through the nose for this line.

I agree that it comes down to preference like rosebud said. Also, like Rosebud, I use Jojoba Oil(2 drops--I use the Dessert essence brand and have had no breakouts on my oily acne prone skin). I think it really depends on how dry or "tight" your skin feels. |

You could also try the Decleor Aromessence Balm at night. In addition to working on your skin, the scent is very soothing. |

In EDS, they have Decleor Aromessence Balm for Men listed.
you need a tiny amount - a small pearl size is enough. |

I've got a small sample of the Men's Aromessence and I'm trying to get my husband to use it. He's out in the sun for much of the day photographing birds and other wildlife...he's as brown as you can get but I wonder about sun damage. |

I don't think the aromaessence will be able to help against sun damage... I gave up on trying to get my SO to use the oil or the balm, so I use them on my legs after shaveing VERY good stuff ladies and gents
I'd look into the night balm though adonis59...it's not badly priced on EDS and the 15ml should last you about 4-6 months. Their shaving foam is also fantastic - LOVE it, and so does the SO
