Aloette Skin Renewal Mud Masque. This masque helped me get rid of those annoying dry patches of skin around my jawline. Plus if you live in Canada, you can probably get it in a kit from the Shopping Channel. Also, check outwww.aloette.com |

i have dry skin too, and in the winter, it gets even worse.
i use very rich moisturizer. personally, i use eminence linden calendula cream and santa maria novella cream (all of their creams are rich enough for me).
also, use very gentle cleanser.
hope this helps. |

You have to exfoliate the area with a gentle non-drying exfoliant to take off the flaky, dead skin. I use a nice creamy exfoliator by Peau VIve. also you might want to try a hydrating mask. I use the one by Aveda which comes in a clear tube. Then use a rich moisturizer |

I agree with BC that you need to exfoliate. Once you have a good non irritating exfoliation everything else works better.
My product of choice is 2 minute miracle exfoliating gel by Ice Elements. You can try this product extremely cheap, just the price of shipping if you go to http://www.iceelements.com/ You will not regret it!
I also love the Ice Elements creamy cleanser for dry skin. It is made with pharmaceutical grade aloe and squalane. It is the only facial cleanser that I have used that actually hydrates while it cleans! It is extremely gentle and contains no surfactants so it does not lather. Surfactants are not good for the skin and if you have not used a non lathering cleanser it may take a bit to get used to but it is soooo worth it.
They also offer straight squalane for those with extremely dry skin that need the extra boost.
If you can shop at the US hsn they have a try me kit for just under $20... just do a search for Ice Elements at hsn.com and you will see it. They are also having some great deals coming up over there in July.
They are also available on the Canadian shopping channel, not sure of the deals over there... or at the actual ice elements site.
I know that I talk about these products a lot because I am just so amazed at how well they work and want to share my amazing find with all of you.
I would encourage you to wander over to the IE site and take a look at the ingredients, the products and the message board area to get a feel of the company.
Good luck and take care! |

I had dry skin only in winter and I applied Never Say Dry from Origins for a few months. I love the smell and the texture but it gave me milia between the eye brows. Probably it is too rich. |

i have chronic dry skin and keep it under control by moisturizing day and night. exfoliation is also good to do to get the top layer of dead skin off of you to let the moisturizers sink in. I've found Paula's Choice skin recovery hydrating mask to be Amazing for my skin. I use it every night and I no longer have flaky skin. I don't care as much for her skin recovery regular moisturizer but i definitely suggest trying the hydrating mask. |
