Does anyone have advice on where to find cute maternity clothes? I want to get a gift for my friend who is pregnant. She is young, so I want to get her something that is cute and stylish. I know that Ann Taylor LOFT has a maternity line. Does anyone have experience buying maternity clothes? |

Hello
Well...when I was pregnant I bought my maternity clothes at Old Navy. They were pretty comfy and trendy. Also, Motherhood Maternity had some decent pieces. I was able to wear my regular clothes up to ... 6 or 7 months into my pregnancy. What REALLY helped were Bella Bands. They are bands that you can wear with your regular pants.
Basically the band slips over your belly and you would wear your pants unbuttoned. They kept your pants up, and you were able to wear regular clothes for a little longer. |

Those are great suggestions! Maybe I will look for a bella band for her early months. I was on the Ann Taylor LOFT website and saw that they were having a great sale on the maternity clothes. I guess I need to wait and see how big she gets before I buy anything, though. After this weekend I also need to go shopping for an engagement gift for a friend...I love an excuse to shop! |

Check ebay, too. Lots of maternity clothes there. |

Luckily empire waist tops are in style, so even though they aren't necessarily maternity wear, there's enough room to be pregnant in them! |

It is so nice to see such a variety of places carrying maternity clothes, like ann taylor loft, which I already mentioned. I think it is also great that the clothes are more affordable, since you only wear them for a few months! |

If you're looking for something more unique or high-end, check out Posh Baby -- that's the maternity/kids/regular women's store in Portland where I found the physical sunscreen towelettes I raved about. I can't speak a ton to their maternity clothes, but their regular women's stuff was exquisite, with great designers like Ella Moss and Rebecca Beeson. Decent prices too. And they seem to have a web store/presence so they might have even more good maternity stuff online. Good luck! |

These clothes are gorgeous and well-made. You can wear them at any stage of pregancy because of the wrapping or ruching and the stretch fabric.
I even wear them and I've never been pregnant! (I've had quite a few compliments and nobody has ever guessed they're maternity wear.) |
