I started doing OCM a couple of weeks ago. I also added salicylic acid to my moisturizer. This was to help decrease the size of the enlarged pores on my nose, but it seems to have made them even bigger and more noiticable. My skin feels wonderfully clean and soft, but my nose looks like orange peel. Anyone had a similar experience?

The best way to minimize pore size is to exfoliate regularly and use retin-a on a daily basis if your skin can tolerate it. The enlarged f caffeine on the skin would jump start our day there would be no need to consume. Many skin products have caffeine to help build collagen but by consuming it the effects are the opposite. I myself am fighting the same battle Good Luck to you. Very Happy Let me know if you find a magical cure to eliminate enlarged pores

HI, not my experience but a friend who has just started to use salicylic acid soap and salicylic moisturizer, plus a new skin toner she has started using... she has been using them only for a week more or less, she somehow 'sees' her pores enlarged but empty -no junk there. And the last two days she has noticed they have started to diminish but also she is finding that her skin is peeling a bit. She does not use OCM, only the actives in products I've mentioned, I expect the slight peeling is coming from the salicylic acid which she hadn't used before.

From my point of view, I do use OCM but recently only every so often as I don't seem to have much time for facial procedures, but when I do it the pores seem far cleaner and at the same time because of that I 'see' them... they are not bigger but clean so I can 'look' into them. When I am more meticulous on a daily basis about cleaning the pores diminish in size as I don't allow them to fill in with dirt so they have a chance to get smaller; this said, I also think one of the most important part of facial care is cleansing and moisturizing.

I tend to agree with ATester, I have used OCM for years and don't have issues with enlarged pores.
I believe when starting they are more apparent due to the cleanliness she mentioned.

A great temporary fix until things normalize is a MILD toner kept in the fridge to help close the pores. There are a couple of nice ACV toners in the recipe index. Smile

Mgranhold, I don't really understand this. Do you mean that drinking coffee destroys collagen?
